Maria Pronina, Mariupol, Ukraine
Maria Pronina is an artist and a poet. She was born and grew up in Donetsk and lived there until 2014.
In 2005-2014 she was an active participant and organiser of underground movements and events both in the city and all over Ukraine. For instance: organisation and participation in Art Laboratory festivals, Ukrainian poetry slams, festival of female creativity PMS, series of literary events Cult of Poetry etc.
Since 2014, she has been based in Kyiv and Mariupol. She has worked as an art and fairy tale therapist in psychological rehabilitation programs for children victims of the war in Donbas. At the same time, using art therapy for herself, Maria started developing her own collage technique. She has been participating in Platform TU's art-residencies, exhibitions and street performances.
