These are the windows into a multiverse of situations, stereotypes and their overcoming, opportunities and difficulties. The pandemic has made our lives more complicated but also opened up many opportunities to immerse ourselves in events on the spot. To understand your inward. To feel solidarity and sisterhood. To perceive the doors that are closed during the lockdown as unexpected opportunities. And of course, this encourages many women to take matters into their own hands. While working on the online residence, the artists discussed many situations that happen to them and around. These situations are pandemic-related and strongly affected by it. For example, during the pandemic domestic violence intensified. But the whole situation has also opened up some positive sides, such as strengthening solidarity among women. They shared their experience, supported each other. We went for online walks together, showing the space around us in different forms, and sent materials for work.
All of the above was used by the artist in a series of 38 collage works — "For women/On women". This is an attempt to process all the information, insults, messages. And also endeavor to create a series of stories about the reality around us through the use of waste paper sent by the space and other participants of the residence. This is a collaboration through months of concerted efforts.
